My name is Viviana Aguilar and I've only lived in San Jose. I have never planted/grew anything. My grandparents garden. They grow a bunch of fruits depending on the season.

My name is Luz Lopez and i was born here in San Jose California. I have lived out of state only once in my entire life to visit my family in Mexico. Even though it was only for the summer, i loved the experience and hope to come visit them again. 

I don't think i have ever grown food before but i have seen some grow. I saw a small orange plant grow into a giant orange tree right in my back yard. It was sort of  struggle to keep the tree healthy and beautiful but it was worth it to have juicy oranges to eat through the year. Some members of my family know a lot about gardening but i know only one who knows more about it and that is my grandmother. When i went to go visit her in the summer, she showed me all of her flowers and plants that she grew and still takes care of. She planted tons of flowers. Not only flowers though, she planted vegetables too, to use them for her incredible cooking.

Hello, my name is Haely Guerrero, i live in California, San jose. Though most of my family come from Arizona, i was born here.

I've rarely and almost never gardened although i do remember that once i had helped planted some flowers in our front yard when i was 6. Sadly, the flowers died after a while, seeing as i was only a child who didn't know how to take care of a plant. However it was quiet fun and i actually quite wish i could do gardening as a hobby. I'm not really the type of person to cook, so i don't cook very much. On the other hand though, i am aware there are some family friends who grow and cook their food. I haven't ever gotten a chance to meet them or see them but i bet what they make is delicious!
